Advance Manufacturing Education (Robotics) Adjunct Instructor

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Livingston is accepting applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor for the Advanced Manufacturing Education (Robotics) program.

General Duties:

1.             Provide classroom and lab instruction to high school students to prepare continue their  training in a Robotics program at a post-secondary institution or to enter the workforce.

2.             Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students’ progress.

3.             Maintain appropriate records and submit timely reports.

4.             Assist in recruitment and placement of students.

5.             Maintain good public relations with business and industry.

 

Successful candidate will be required to pass background check/drug screen. The hiring of this position is contingent upon the program securing adequate funding and sufficient class enrollment numbers.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.  Technical Diploma, Associates Degree or equivalent higher education/training preferred.
Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of related work experience.  Manufacturing experience a plus.
Must be proficient in basic electronics and electricity and be knowledgeable of hydraulics, pneumatics, programmable logic controllers (PLC), robotics, instrumentation, and preventive maintenance.
Robotics Industry Certifications preferred:  Fanuc, Yaskawa, Motoman, and/or ABB Robotics
Willingness to obtain Instructor Certification to teach Industry Certifications for Robotics
Must possess industry experience with robotics operations and maintenance
Must possess the organizational and communications skills necessary to be an effective teacher.
Must commit to remain current in the Robotics field and maintain program accrediting status.
Must have ability to interact with high school students.
Must show evidence of good character, mature attitude and stable personality.
Must possess computer skills and ability to utilize technology to enhance teaching.

Salary Range

Commensurate with qualification, experience, education and in accordance with the guidelines established by the Tennessee Board of Regents. Background check is required on all employees.
