BUILDING CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY INSTRUCTOR (Temporary Position)

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Livingston is accepting applications for the position of Building Construction Technology Instructor.

Duties

  • Teach all phases of the Building Construction Technology curriculum in a post-secondary setting
  • Supervise Skill Projects
  • Update curriculum as necessary to stay abreast of industry needs
  • Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual student progress
  • Maintain appropriate student records and submit timely reports
  • Assist in recruitment and job placement of students
  • Maintain good public relations with business and industry
  • Participate in professional development activities to stay abreast of emerging technologies in the construction field

Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Post-secondary credential in Building Construction Technology from an accredited institution preferred
  • Must have  minimum of three (3) years current work experience in building construction trades
  • Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationship with students, faculty, staff, and general public, and business and industry
  • A successful candidate will possess or have the ability to obtain industry recognized licensures and/or certifications
